HISTORY
IDS/B, Inc., was founded in 1985 to bring together talented professionals
and all the design services needed to create clubhouses and related
buildings. The firm's focus on clubhouse design was based on the
prior experience of one of the company's principals, Irving D. Schwartz,
AIA, FASID. The other principal, Jeannine Bazer-Schwartz, FASID,
brought years of commercial interior design experience to the firm.
Many of the firm's projects throughout the United States have been
profiled in national magazines and the company has received numerous
design awards from AIA, ASID and Hospitality Magazine.

Irving D. Schwartz
After receiving his M.S. in Architecture from the University of
Illinois , Irving D. Schwartz, AIA, FASID, founded IDS, Inc., of
Champaign, Illinois. After 14 successful yesr Irv then became president
of ADI, Inc., a subsidiary of Club Corporation of America.
Irv's decades of experience as an architect, educator, and interior
designer covers a wide range of large and small projects, including
museums, churches, university interiors, residential and commercial
buildings. He has received the Louis Trege Award and the John Robinson
Award. He has contributed to his profession by serving as the National
President of ASID; President of NCIDQ; President of the Texas Association
of Interior Designers (TAID).
Jeannine
Bazer-Schwartz
Jeannine
Bazer-Schwartz received her B.S. in Interior Design from the University
of Texas in Austin. She owned her own design firm until 1985 when
she co-founded the Dallas-based architecture/interior design firm
IDS/B, Inc. She has always been very involved within the profession,
having been elected a Fellow in the American Society of Interior
Designers. Her professional activites include President of ASID
Texas Chapter, Chapter and National Board of Directors, National
Secretary, as well as chair of numerous committees . She is also
an Honorary member of the Interior Design Educators Council and
has been a speaker at NeoCon and the ASID National Conference.
AWARDS
Interior
design awards include: 1st Place ASID Interior Design Specialty
Award for Hospitality Design (1994), Finalist in the 14th Annual
Gold Key Award for Excellence in Hospitality Design, local ASID
Design Ovation Awards, Honorable Mention "Hospitality" and First
Place "Offices over 25,000 Square Feet.". Architectural awards include
Progessive Architecture Magazine, plus Illinois Chapter AIA.
